The cricket grounds under NWCL are maintained by the teams that own the home ground. An important part of owning the home ground is the maintenance of matted pitches. Creating and maintaining these pitches is an expensive process. Other teams when playing on somebody else's home ground must respect the hard work that goes in maintaining these pitches and avoid any damage to it.
To ensure that these pitches are not damaged, the wicketkeeper and bowlers should avoid wearing cleats or shoes with studs. The team captains and match empire should pay attention to this issue.
